Is it a spoiler if it’s the top spoiler on PEOPLE? Well here we go. Ken Jeong walked offThe Masked Singerset because he felt disrespected by the guest reveal.According to PEOPLE, Robin Thicke followed him in solidarity because the two are extremely close and he wanted to check on him. Ken Jeong, an actual doctor, shares a stage with Jenny McCarthy every week and he is vocal about the importance of vaccines. He shares the stage with people who differ in opinions than him (even though, again, he is an MD so it’s not just his opinion but a professional and educated stance). He’s a professional. So that reveal must have really shaken him up.

Twitter is where Gen X and old millennials go to act like teenagers (reminisce about growing up without WiFi, post Golden Girls clips, complain about TikTok). Sandy Rogen is violating Seth’s safe space.

And Just Like That… is over. We are finally put out of our misery. But I keep pushing on the bruise by reading everything I can about this completely confounding reboot that will most certainly get a second season. (My current quibble: besides ignoring the obvious Post-It Note anecdote and the concept of a “live” call-in podcast why, in a post-Covid world, would someone moving to another city justify canceling a podcast? People work virtually all of the time now. Why did they treat podcasters like 80s late-night radio disc jockeys.) [Sarah: No one associated with that show knows how stand-up comedy OR podcasts work.]

In a post-finale interview with Variety, Sarah Jessica Parker says about Kim Cattrall/Samantha:“There’s a very distinct line between Samantha and Kim,” Parker continued. “Samantha’s not gone. Samantha’s present, and I think was handled with such respect and elegance. She wasn’t villainized. She was a human being who had feelings about a relationship, so I think we found a way to address it which was necessary and important for people that loved her.”Which is completely different than how many in the audience read it: Samantha was ride-or-die and the two stopped speaking because Carrie painted Samantha as greedy and using her as an ATM (after Carrie cut back on using Sam’s PR services). This is completely out of character from everything they’ve shown about Samantha, as was her not showing up for the funeral. Samantha was the most loyal, least-judgemental and present friend. And it completely discounted the women’s friendships with each other because, for example, if Miranda needed someone to talk to in her situation, Samantha would be the one. It just assumed that the other women had no love for Samantha outside of Carrie. After decades of friendship, that’s it?

Thank you to all of the Californians who emailed yesterday aboutGwyneth’s AD tour. An overwhelming majority agree that Montecito-Santa Monica as a daily commute is not feasible (1.5-2 hours) and because of that, there’s a couple of options: this is a weekend/part-time home until the kids’ graduated, she will keep a place in the city for meetings/overnights and move to more remote work, and/or she will take a helicopter to LA. (It wouldn’t be great optics for a not-super-profitable company like Goop to have a boss who takes a helicopter into work, so this is probably the least likely scenario.)
