Zendaya and Tom Holland might be the internet’s favourite couple – or at least one of the internet’s favourite couples. Favourite as in there might be other couples who generate all kinds of talk and debate, but Zendaya and Tom generally aren’t polarising. There may be those who are indifferent but that indifference doesn’t spill over to ugh, enough already. And they just happen to be the stars of the biggest blockbuster of the pandemic.

几周前,Zendaya和汤姆were seen together in London, spending time with family, grocery shopping, going to see a show – whole activities. Now it’s being reported that they just bought a home there together and that’s the headline all over the place: Z and Tom bought a house, they’re living together!

OK but is it legit?

The story comes fromthe UK Mirror, a tabloid. Not exactly confidence-inspiring. Then again, they do bring specifics to the story like naming the firm that will be renovating the home. So they could have some actual sourcing on this…and are probably stretching out the rest? In their reporting, the Mirror says thatTom bought the new property in swanky Richmond, South West London, earlier this month. It is four miles from Kingston upon Thames, where Tom was born and grew up.”

The paper later adds that“[Tom]and Zendaya – who has British roots – flew in from LA to collect the keys, see Tom’s parents, who live nearby, and plan a summer move.”

So we’ve now leapt from from Tom buying a place to him and Zendaya living there together. I mean it’s possible that he made the purchase and she came to London to check it out, and might stay with him when it’s ready, since they’re dating but does that mean they’re actual co-owners?

I don’t know if I buy that Zendaya will be relocating from LA, where her family is. What I’m saying is that I think this story is exaggeration. I mean I don’t hate it, because they’re adorable, but I’m not convinced Zendaya is starting the London era of her life. It certainly won’t be the case when she starts work on season three of Euphoria….which…on that note…

Anastasia just posted about thelatest episode earlier todaybut did you hear about howD.A.R.E. criticised the showfor choosing to “misguidedly glorify and erroneously depict high school student drug use, addiction, anonymous sex, violence, and other destructive behaviors as common and widespread in today’s world."

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly aboutRue’s situation on this week’s episode, Zendaya addressed the controversy:

"Our show is in no way a moral tale to teach people how to live their life or what they should be doing. If anything, the feeling behind Euphoria, or whatever we have always been trying to do with it, is to hopefully help people feel a little bit less alone in their experience and their pain. And maybe feel like they're not the only one going through or dealing with what they're dealing with."

I don’t even know why she had to. Because I’m not sure anyone from D.A.R.E. has even watched the show? If they had, it says more about their interpretation of the characters’ drug use and sex than what the show is actually doing. Who’s actually looking at what Rue’s doing and what Cassie’s up to and the rest of them and thinking that’s aspirational and glamorous?!? Assuming that that’s what teens are taking away from the show is underestimating teens. There’s no glory to what the characters are going through onEuphoria, and it’s kind of a mystery to me how anyone would take that away.
