Dear Gossips,

Ahead of the final season ofGame of Thrones,Kit Harington covers the new issue ofVariety. For Kit though, this isn’t just about promoting the show – the show, really, doesn’t need promotion and, besides, none of the actors can actually tell us anything about what’s happening anyway. What Kit is doing here is setting up his post-Jon Snow career. That’s the work. Which is why I’ve pitched this interview to Duana for the next episode ofShow Your Work– how do you move beyond the Big Thing that defines you when it happens to you at the beginning? It’s not like it hasn’t been done before. Will Smith is a great example. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have done it well. But then there’s also Hayden Christensen.

包看起来很有自知之明的opportuniti什么es might be available to him now and which ones may be more of a challenge. Like even though he’s one of the biggest stars of the biggest television show of the decade, he knows that he’s still not at the top of the list for the kinds of parts he’s interested in:

“Right now,” he says, “I would expect Aaron Taylor-Johnson to be sent a more interesting, darker, more characterful role than I would. I have to get myself to a point where I can prove to people that I can do those.

Will we be talking about Kit Harington in five years? That’s the work that’s ahead for him – more, hopefully, on Show Your Work next week. For now then… can we talk about this cover?

He’s gorgeous, obviously, especially now that he’s cut his hair and isn’t wearing that moustache. But I’m stuck on the way they’ve posed him on the cover. It’s the left foot! The way it’s tucked awkwardly behind his right calf! How is this natural?! Once you see it you can’t unsee it. Now that I’m fixating on it, it doesn’t matter how pretty he is, how well that jacket fits him – all I want to do is yank that foot into a more relaxed position.

Head toVarietyto read the article and to see more photos of beautiful Kit, with his limbs more comfortably placed.

Have a great weekend!

Yours in gossip,
