詹妮弗•洛佩兹received the Generation Award at the MTV Awards last night and it’s not even close to being the biggest event of her week. The biggest event of her week is happening on Wednesday when she’ll be in New York to open the Tribeca Festival with the world premiere of her documentary,Halftime. Halftimestarts streaming on Netflix a week later which is when it will be on repeat at my house and on all my devices.

Until then, let’s enjoy her appearance at MTV where she gave an emotional acceptance speech dedicated to her children, for “teaching me to love”, and both the fans and the haters for keeping her motivated. And there was a shout-out to “Ben and everybody at home” at the end to wait for her to have dinner.

And as usual, since this is JLo, she was working it on the carpet, working the sh-t out of the wind too:

This look is Mônot, by designer Eli Mizrahi that’s relatively new on the scene –launched just three years agoand the whole point of the label is sexy: tight, cut-outs, one shoulder, corsets, slits… it’s perfect for JLo’s aesthetic and I don’t know if you noticed but Mônot was one of the most repeated designer names coming out of Cannes a couple of weeks ago. Every night, on every carpet, it seemed there was at least one Mônot showcased at the palais andthere were multiple Mônot looksat the big amfAR gala right before the conclusion of the festival.

It's been quite a run for the label the last couple of months and it’ll be interesting to see how much more momentum they pick up over the year with the festivals in the fall and also the Emmys. Clearly Mônot is in with many of the celebrity stylists. Curious to see who the next big name will be.
