After stepping out together for the first time as a three-piece, as expected (and intended), #BabySussex is now trending worldwide on Twitter. Currently in the #5 position and steadily rising. This is what I posted about earlier – the House Sussex PR game on full flex, rolling this out like episodic television. Here’s their Instagram post:

They’re going to want to let that breathe too.

So…even though a name is expected some time later today, I wonder if it’s possible they might pull back, hold it to tomorrow. Like I said, they’re obviously doing it in stages. Today’s stage is already generating so much attention without the name. A case could be made, then, that they wait another day to reveal the name and start up the frenzy all over again. That’s not to say that we won’t get a name today – it’s still very possible and even probable we will – but if we don’t, be ready for that too. I’m doing this for the benefit of Duana, really. She’s been on standby for days to finish her article about this. I almost feel bad for her at this point. Like a dick, I also think it’s funny.

In other Baby Sussex news – Amal and George Clooney stepped out last night to promote his new Hulu series,Catch-22. That’s funny to me too: that George Clooney, one of the biggest stars in the world, is part of “Baby Sussex news”. George’s birthday is May 6. Baby Sussex was born on May 6. ET asked him about Baby Sussex on the red carpet. George being George, he answered jokingly:

Needless to say, the priority was less his show there and more Baby Sussex. He should get it though. George Clooney has been at this a long time, he knows how it works. He’s also been answering questions about his own children on the press tour, telling Savannah Guthrie onThe Today Showthat Ella and Alexander take after himin one particular way:

"They're not terrible twos. They're good kids. They're happy kids. They laugh a lot. They do pranks already. Put peanut butter on their shoes, so that it looks like poo-poo on their shoes and stuff, and they think that's funny."

George said “poo-poo”! I never want to be so “mature” that I don’t laugh whenever someone says “poo-poo”. Shame me for it, I don’t care.

Curious to see howCatch-22will be received, especially in the age of Peak TV, if it can compete in the marketplace. The show premieres on May 17, the same weekend as the series finale ofGame of Thrones. As you now, we have a lot of options on television, some might say too many options. I’m still trying to get through美国人(just started season four). Even with a big name like George Clooney attached, is it enough to single itself out in such a crowded field?
