Amal and George Clooney were seen arriving in the South of France the other day with their good friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Amal wore pink, a belted dress with different sleeves, exactly the outfit I would put together for her if I were the costume designer styling the scene. And same goes for Cindy too in her white shirt and jeans. These women understand their own style characters.
The four of them were seen again today out for lunch. This time Amal wore a short dress or romper with side cuts with Cindy in what looks like a printed caftan, and both were in hats. The scene, again, is perfectly styled. But I wish we could get a better shot of what they were eating. Because in that part of the world…
The olives! The grilled vegetables. The cheese!
I’m finally feeling sort of human again after ten days of COVID but my appetite is still not normal so what I keep doing is trying to look at as much great food as possible in the hopes of getting it going. So I’m imagining for the Clooneys and the Gerbers a platter of tomatoes and peppers and eggplant drizzled with olive oil. And maybe some squid. The freshest bread. The ripest tomatoes and mozzarella. It’s a note for the paparazzi, then. Shoot the food!
