Brad Pitt isEmbroiled In Lawsuitsbut also still Starring In Movies, including the upcomingBullet Train, which released a teaser ahead of the proper trailer due next week.Bullet Traincomes from action aficionado David Leitch, co-director ofJohn Wickand director ofAtomic Blonde,十佳2, andHobbs & Shaw. The teaser is a fake commercial—fauxmercial—for the “Nippon Speed Line”, the eponymous bullet train. Pitt is glimpsed at the end, looking a bit worse for wear while taking a break on the train.
But Pitt isn’t the only Movie Star inBullet Train, it also stars Sandra Bullock. It’s a clash of the titans! The cast also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Joey King, Zazie Beetz, Logan Lerman, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Masi Oka. Sadly, it does not appear Eddie Marsan is in this movie, ending David Leitch’s streak of casting Eddie Marsan and then killing off his character. The premise ofBullet Trainis that five assassins get on the same train and try to take each other out, so this is undoubtedly going to be aJohn Wick/Atomic Blonde-style action fest, which I am very much looking forward to. Also, fun fact, Leitch used to be Pitt’s stunt double, circa the late 1990s/early 2000s. So, not unlike Chad Stahelski’s building out theJohn Wickfranchise with Keanu Reeves, for whom he doubled during theMatrixdays,Bullet Trainrepresents Pitt and Leitch coming full circle from their actor/double days. Cute! Now, what’s the status of all those lawsuits…
