Proving that it actually exists, a trailer for Terry Gilliam’s eons-in-the-makingThe Man Who Killed Don Quixotewas released the other day. It’s real! He did it this time! I remember seeing a documentary about Gilliam’s previous—failed—attempt at making this movie (with Johnny Depp) AT LEAST fifteen years ago, that’s how long Gilliam has been trying to make this movie. But’s he done it this time, with Jonathan Pryce and Adam Driver—in the Depp role, I believe—and the movie may or may not have a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month. There’s a hang-up with a producer—who reneged on financial commitments, so that court case should be interesting—whichcould delaythe projected summer release of the movie. Or maybe itwill still premiereat Cannes! Who knows! With this movie, anything can happen. It’s amazing Gilliam actually finished it this time.

Also who knows if it’s actually good. Gilliam’s movies are usually not that accessible on first watch, and often only catch on after some time has passed (see also:BrazilandThe Adventures of Baron Munchausen), and some never do catch on (see also:The Zero Theorem). But every once in a while you get a在拉斯维加斯恐惧和憎恨。But then sometimes you getThe Brothers Grimm. What I’m saying is, it’s impossible to tell what Gilliam is doing until you see it for yourself, and even then you might need three to five years to fully appreciate it.Don QuixoteLOOKS cool, though visuals have never been Gilliam’s problem, but it also comes across as incomprehensible. That may or may not be true to the actual movie. Only time—three to five years, minimum—will tell.

You know what is clear? Adam Driver’s hotness. How is he not an official Internet Boyfriend yet? He’s got to be in the running for 2018. I know Lainey will support this. Personally, I’m backing Domhnall Gleeson for Internet Boyfriend 2018, but I can support a challenge from Adam Driver. He meets all the requirements: Hot, but in an Interesting way; in a popular franchise; plays an emotional-yet-repressed villain in said popular franchise; meme-ready photoshoots; and a distinctive trait, chiefly hisopen suspicion of BB-8. So I present for your consideration for Internet Boyfriend 2018: Adam Driver, the best thing in thisDon Quixotetrailer, particularly that bit where he’s dressed in black and dancing.
