Elle is debuting their first women in comedy issue, and the NuGhostbusters are their first funny-lady cover stars. I kind of don’t care aboutKristen WiigandMelissa McCarthy—they’ve covered magazines before, and will again—but I’m SUPER intoLeslie Jones’s cover. I love the dress, the bit of skin showing, and I really love the way they’ve styled her hair. I also love that it’s not just a headshot, as is usually the case with anyone over a sample size two on a magazine cover. And her inside shot is great, too, althoughKate McKinnonis my favorite there. I wish they’d used that shot with the stole for her cover. I have such a crush on Kate McKinnon, and I want to day-drink with Leslie Jones. Can these be my summer fantasy friends?

There’s also a new international trailer for鬼busters, which is so-so. The bit with Chris Hemsworth’s himbo secretary being three steps behind the ladies works, but the trailer is cut so weird it’s hard to pick out any rhythm to a joke. Comedy trailers are a tough sell, though, and often don’t have any bearing on the final film.Bridesmaidshad a boring trailer, Spy looked stupid, andPopstar: Never Stop Never Stoppinglooked like a spoof trailer from SNL. But all three movies are great, so there’s no real reason to assume Ghostbusters will be horrible. Unless, of course, the idea ofa popular comedyremade with womenis so threateningthat it’s an assault on your childhood. In which case, you can go f*ck yourself.
