Rihanna is on the cover of the new issue of Vogue. By my count, it’s her fifth time for American Vogue – not a small deal. This is timed, of course, ahead of the Met Gala on Monday, as she is the co-chair this year, but also for the release ofOceans 8and the launch of her lingerie line. And less than a year after she introduced Fenty Beauty, one of the most successful makeup launches of the decade, if not THE most successful makeup launch of the decade.

Next, it was announced this week that Busy Philipps is getting her own talk show on E!. Many of you emailed and tweeted at us requesting for this to be added to the podcast. It’s EXCELLENT news for her. For sure. But now the work is about translating Busy’s Instagram charm to broadcast television. What will the challenges be? What are the upsides and potential downsides? Like Busy, Leslie Jones has generated more and more opportunities through her social media. In addition to being a comic and a cast member on Saturday Night Live, Leslie has become an NBC sports special correspondent. And now she’s a player on the fashion scene.
