My name is Sasha, I’m 42 years old and I wear compression socks. This is my truth.

老实说,我甚至从未thought of what or why compression socks were a thing until one day an email popped into my inbox from a company calledComrad, which, follow the puck, is all about compression socks. While I don’t deal with any circulation or varicose vein issues, I like a tight ass fitting sock. One of my biggest pet peeves in life is a loose sock that can topsy turvy all over the damn place, so right off the bat I was intrigued.

I tested out three pairs while I was out in BC this summer; I wore them on the plane and took them out on long hikes to see what they were all about and I gotta say, I’m totally sold. Now, I’m sure you might be thinking these things are gonna be some hideous Golden Girls looking stockings, but it couldn’t be further from the truth because this collection is actually super cute. From color pops, to stripes to your basic solid hues – they look like your everyday normal looking socks.

Okay, so let’s talk about what they do because these socks boast some serious benefits. Their main objective is to keep your energy up throughout the day through stimulating blood flow with their graduation compression which is said to prevent pain and the development of spider/varicose veins and lactic acid buildup. Still not sure how exactly that really works, but I couldn’t care less because I love how they make my feet feel after a long travelled day. I really feel a difference in the amount of soreness and achiness. My personal preference is the ankle style as it's where I feel like I need the most support; I'm a wee flat footed so I'll take all the arch cuddles I can get.
