Last week, when Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced their separation, the tabloids dug up some year-old photos of Justin with his old friend Naomi Watts, suggesting that Naomi may have had something to do with the breakup.
Naomi and Liev Schreiber announced their split in September 2016, shortly after Brange. Which means that the story about their separation was almost buried by the war that erupted soon after between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Last summer it was revealed that Naomi was dating Billy Crudup after working together onGypsy.
Naomi and Billy were seen holding hands for the first time on Sunday after the BAFTAs – see attached. Coincidence or conspiracy?
If it is a conspiracy, this is a smart play. They’ve stayed pretty well undercover since it was first reported that they’re together. Why not use this opportunity to confirm that they’re still together while shutting down rumours that she somehow had something to do with Jennifer and Justin’s situation?
So now we’re back to “edgy and New York” vs “California chill”.
