May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada and Asian American and Pacific Islander Month in the United States. In observance of the occasion, The Asian American Foundation held its inaugural awards dinner this weekend in New York where Michelle Yeoh was honoured with the Culture Award… for obvious reasons.

It’s been six weeks since Michelle became the first Asia woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars but she didn’t need the Oscar for this recognition. Because she’s been at this for three decades – and she’s been doing it in every category, from modelling to martial arts, comedy to drama, her career really has been everything everywhere all at once, and in that film, she did everything everywhere all at once.

In addition to receiving the award at the gala, Michelle was also part of a panel discussion at TAAF celebration with other Asian cultural leaders, looking like a boss in blue spectacles and a hat and trench over jeans. And she stays busy! Because Michelle is also currently promoting a new project.American Born Chinesewill premiere on Disney+ on May 24, she was at the premiere at Radio City Music Hall last night alongside Ke Huy Quan.

This outfit though! The printed shirt and skirt set! Over patent leather high boots! It’s SO good. She looks SO good. But also Ke Huy Quan who might be entering his pop idol era with his hair flopping over his forehead in combination of his finger hearts.
