Here are shots of Matt Damon and his family arriving in Sydney the other day. And by family I mean I can see in these pictures at least three of his daughters and his wife, Luciana. So it appears that we can now definitely say that the ring thing is not a thing.

The new thing isThor: Love and Thunder. Matt previously made a cameo inThor: Ragnarokand it would appear that he’ll once again have a role in the fourth Thor movie, joining an already stacked cast: Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Christian Bale. But does this mean they’re expanding his role? Apparently Matt releaseda statement to Australian media per CNET:

"I'm so excited that my family and I will be able to call Australia home for the next few months. Australian film crews are world-renowned for their professionalism and are a joy to work with so the 14 days of quarantine will be well worth it."

I’m not totally convinced that it’ll be more than a cameo though. Not that I know sh-t about comic book movies or have any insider scoop on the production but over the last few years, whenever possible, Matt and Luciana花了几个星期, if not months, in Australia right around this time. So much so that there have been recurring reports that they’ve been considering a permanent move there and are/will be acquiring property. They’re close with Chris and Elsa Pataky and their kids. The point is, this could be a brief appearance in the film, while part of a larger family plan to stay in Australia as they’ve done in the past; they’re familiar with the country, they obviously enjoy it, and it’s not like the COVID situation in the US is fun times.
