There are two more weeks left in August which means there are about three weeks or so left until the end of celebrity yacht season. Usually it kinda slows down around the time of the Venice and Toronto film festivals, kinda like back to school.
This year, though, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not celebrity yacht season extends deeper into September if the strike doesn’t end any time soon.
So here’s Glen Powell in Mykonos just over a year after we saw him with his shirt off and lubed up inTop Gun: Maverick.

I can’t remember and I’m too lazy to check but that was really just a segue to get to Sydney anyway because in herVariety cover story last weekshe was asked about all the rumours about the two of them from when they were on set.
If you recall, speculation about a possible romance was a big story earlier this year after they were seen getting close during filming and also in social media posts that came out around that time. Here’s what Sydney said about that:
“It’s a rom-com,” she laughs. “That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker. We’re excited for the press tour, and I literally just left ADR with him. We talk all the time like, ‘That’s really funny.’”
I’m looking for a denial there and not finding one. But she’s also not denying that the rumours are good for movie promotion. “It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want.” This is not a lie and I appreciate that she’s having fun with the situation and dancing around it.
About that promotion though…

Some people are saying that the strike might not be over by December, in which case Sydney and Glen would not be able to flirt on every carpet from Los Angeles to New York to London and across Europe and all the way back to Australia. Will be interesting to see, if the strike actually goes on for that long, how they handle it.
