Big night on Broadway last night as Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga headline Macbeth and I’m pretty sure no one has to explain who they’re playing. The show also brought out Danai Gurira (in an amazing yellow and black jacket dress) and Oscar Isaac and his wife Elvira Lind. Oscar is friends with Daniel and Rachel Weisz, they’ve been seen hanging out together in the past so Oscar’s there as both a member of the theatre community and also a supportive friend.
Speaking of supportive friends, look at Daniel’s face during curtain call for Ruth:

Working on a play together, and this play in particular, is an exhilarating and grueling process. You have to pretty much trust your stage partner with your life in some ways. All that emotion is captured in his expression – he is at once proud and grateful and her biggest fan.
But I swear I’m not trying to start sh-t with my next question: where’s Rachel Weisz?
瑞秋和丹尼尔though is that they are COMMITTED to not putting their marriage out for public consumption, like about as committed as any super private celebrity couple. It’s not unusual for them to be absent for the other’s respective professional events. So… this is probably just another example, right?
