Adele has announced a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace and it’s such an interesting thing because Vegas used to be where careers flatlined. Now it attracts some of the biggest hit-makers in the world, particularly women like Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, and Katy Perry. My theory on this is that all of these women have children (and some of them have multiple jobs) and being close enough to LA to go home after each show is an attractive perk. (Not to mention they get paid buckets of money and don’t have to travel, stay in hotels, absorb production costs etc.) I would not be surprised if even Beyoncé set up a show there one day.
