The issue with these biopics (or “inspired by” series) for women like Angelyne and Pamela Anderson is that even when it’s an homage, the person who it is supposed to pay tribute to somehow becomes more one dimensional. Angelyne said she isnot a fan of it and won’t watch it.

Kind of hard to play the scorned wife when you are allegedly contributing to cheating in another marriage, no? Very messy.
Top Gun: Maverick’s stars have been doing a lot of glamorous promotion and it’s working. The audience response on Twitter is really positive and the jokes are interesting because there’s a self-effacing element to it that’s often really funny. This is not the kind of marketing you can plan out, no matter how tightly controlled the star’s image is.
