Last week, Angelina Jolie was in Washington, DC with Zahara. They were photographed at the end of their trip at the airport – those pictures werepublished at the Daily Mail. Later, Angelina posted photos of her own on Instagram to bring awareness to the reason behind their visit.

They were there to advocate for women’s rights, in support of the reauthorisation of the Violence Against Women Act:

Research has shown that domestic violence increases during the holidays, and that terrible truth has been made worse by the pandemic – currently, with restrictions being reimplemented in many places due to the Omicron surge, many victims of domestic abuse could be even more vulnerable in the coming days. In addition to the links that Angelina shared above in her post, here’s a resource forthose of you in Canada, andone for the US.

Zahara is 16, she’ll be turning 17 in just a couple of weeks. As we all know, teenagers at this point in their lives, they’re not going anywhere with their parents, no matter who their parents are, if they don’t want to. And they’re not agreeing to show up on their parents’ Instagram if they don’t want to either. If Zahara is there with her mother, it’s an indication that she is interested in service and advocacy. That should work well with college applications, too. By this time next year, Angelina could have three kids in university.

This weekend Angelina Jolie was seen gift shopping with Pax. She looks like she’s holiday ready with those red nails. I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve seen her with a bold nail colour. A holiday mood.
