艾米•亚当斯received two acting Golden Globe nominations this morning, one for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series and another for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture forVice.年代he’s now trending on Twitter. But don’t forget about Regina King. Regina has been nominated in those same categories. Both are contending in television and in film. It’s a wonderful acknowledgement for both actors.
However, it’sAmywho is trending. Because, of course, if we’re playing any “due game” , Amy’s the one with all the previous nominations stacked next to her name. By this point she has at least over 10 Golden Globe nominations with two wins. She is a five-time Oscar nominee. The last time she was nominated for an Oscar, her fifth for美国喧嚣, was in 2014, which was two years before Leonardo DiCaprio received his fourth Oscar nomination and he went on to win, forThe Revenant, and at the time, he was the “due” one, exhaustingly. Get in the f-ckin’ line, right?

嗯…Regina Kingisn’t new. Regina King has been excellent for a long, long time. Regina is a multiple Golden Globe nominee too and she’s a multiple Emmy Award winner. She is also, at this point in the season, the frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actress category for Oscar. And she is electrifying inIf Beale Street Could Talk.This is one of the most competitive races in the field. Which is not a bad thing. Most years I find, in the supporting categories especially at the Oscars, there really is no suspense. Think of last year for example and Allison Janney and Sam Rockwell. We knew they were going to win. This time, if it does come down to Amy and Regina, it may not be as predictable, which makes it a lot more fun.
