We got another look atToy Story 4在超级碗,这次引入新的toys Bunny and Ducky, voiced by Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael-Key, respectively, and also a look at revamped Bo Peep (Annie Potts returns!). This is a fun and funny clip, with none of the nightmare dread introduced by the first teaser and its cursed star,Sporky. This is just sassy toys being sassy, and honestly, it’s so refreshing and pleasant. Can this one just be the toys having a good time and not being forced to navigate a frightening obstacle course laid out by callous humans, blithely unaware of their existence? I don’t think I can survive another Lotso situation. Is it too much to ask for the toys to just have a nice day out?

Toy Story 4comes out on June 21. That means Disney’s schedule isCaptain Marvel, Dumbo, Avengers: Endgame, Aladdin, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Artemis Fowl, Frozen 2,andStar Wars Episode IX.They’re going to haul in, what, a solid 50% of the annual box office? Not even counting the Fox dollars they’ll get as soon as that deals closes (it’s in process now, expected to be a fait accompli in June). Sure, there are a couple weak spots on that line up.Aladdinsmells faintly of a disaster—we’re three months out and still only have a vague teaser—andArtemis Fowlis a crap shoot. (The books are popular, but is the demand for a movie franchise THAT great?) But the rest of the line up looks unstoppable. From March until July, they have a movie coming out every 3-4 weeks. Is there a weekend they won’t be number one? Basically, everyone else is fighting over Disney’s scraps. And since most of these movies are assured of being big hits that everyone wants to see, will anyone even care that one studio is going to control so much of the box office? I enjoy these movies but Jesus, Disney just keeps growing and growing and growing and at a certain point, will that be creepy?
